We. Are. Back.

Hi everyone, cricket is back to make everything okay again.

I’m thrilled to say that our great mates at Everyone Active have re-opened the nets at the Rec, and booked in our matches for the 2021 season.

Your Rabbits return to their traditional Thursday night nets from 6pm - 9pm, and have a fully loaded weekend season of games this year. Come on down to give the game a go, or just have a nice afternoon out and say hello. It would be great to see you (in fairness, at this late stage, it will be great to see anyone).

Of course, pandemic means things will still be a bit weird this year. Games and nets are subject to cancellation due to plague, and we will be following all recommended guidelines on safety and social distancing. At present, this means that the changing rooms will be closed, there should be no more than six Rabbits per lane and, there’s no spitting on or licking the balls. To be honest, that always seemed gross (and the changing rooms aren’t great anyway) so it’s no great loss.

Our season starts with a Rabbits inter-squad match on Easter Sunday the 4th of April. We’ve got a lot of games this season, so we’re going to have rotate the squad quite a lot. Come on down on Sunday (from 1130 am) to impress the selectors early doors.

Here’s the revised line up of games for the year. All of this is, of course, subject to massive change.

Cheers!
